Kleinfelds

Kieryn absolutely LOVES watching CakeBoss, it gives her much inspiration for her mud creations, she actually draws up cake designs. She was watching an episode and all the women of Cake Boss went to Kleinfelds to help Buddy's wife pick out a dress for their 10 year anniversary renewing of their vows. Kieryn was mesmerized by the whole process of picking out the wedding dress. She looked at me very seriously and said, "mom when I get married I am going to Kleinfelds to get my wedding dress." I explained that Kleinfelds is in NewYork kinda far away, and it would cost more money to fly there than Mommy and Daddy's entire wedding cost." Kieryn looked at me and smiled sweetly as if she is an adult confident that she will work out all those details later on. I guess we better start saving now :) she has always loved a big productions for any occasion, I am sure she will have to have a big wedding.

Another one of Kieryn's obsessions is being as she says a "Fashionista" this is I think a stylist maybe not quite sure. Since McKinley is completely willing to always have a makeover this is a perfect match. Kieryn dressed and did McKinley's hair and makeup for her wedding. These two girls are becoming the best of friends, I love watching them play together.

NotSoPretty

So. . . I thought McKinley was taking a nap, Kieryn and I were outside working on her school work. Well she was not sleeping, she was being a sneaky girl. She went into my bathroom and found my makeup, hairspray and lotion. When she came down stairs after an hour she acted as if nothing was different. It was so funny how she did not think we would notice her smelling and looking different. Then when I asked her about it she burst into tears. I went upstairs expecting to find a huge mess, no mess and none of my stuff anywhere. I was baffled. . . .and a tiny bit relieved. I kept searching and under McKinley's pillow I found all the evidence, I think she was saving everything for later so she could give herself another makeover. Naughty Girl :) too cute

At Last

So it has been 3 years since Kieryn had her teeth knocked out. . . .AND one of her new big teeth FINALLY broke through. She is so excited, jokingly I told her we should have a welcome home party for her long lost teeth and she excitedly said YES we should and we should invite her Dentist.

A Boy

A "beau" or "bow" is how McKinley pronounces boy. This has become a funny little word in our house, McKinley will say, "Izzy is a beau he has a big potty" "Look at the horses big potty, he is a beau" This is becoming very embarrassing for Kieryn, her eyes get big and she gives McKinley a serious motherly look and tells her, "do not talk about that"
Obviously McKinley is very aware now of boys or "beaus", so much so, she unzipped a boy mannequin's pants at the store and was trying to figure out what was in those pants. Lonny was a bit disturbed, I am sure a security guy somewhere in his camera room was having a good laugh at Lonny having a fit over McKinley's little investigation, Poor daddy :)

Someday

For a few years now Braden has talked about how he can not wait to grow a mustache or a goatee and he is dying to have a as he says, "a chest-stache" (chest hair). Well Braden's dream of having facial hair kinda came true. . . .well as close to what it might look like, the Martini's gave Braden a set of mustaches and such. SOOO he felt that he needed to actually wear this chin thing to school. He wore it the entire day (7AM-6PM) even keeping it on during football practice. At the end of the day he seemed so happy with himself, it was hilarious. All we could do was try not to laugh hysterically, just smile and listen to how his day went. I bet his teachers all had a good laugh, thinking typical home school kid.

I'm a bet (vet)

Friday we took Lacey to the Vet, she had been coughing and choking all night. Unfortunately, they said she has Kennel Cough. What we did not realize is how the vet trip had educated McKinley. So this morning when Kieryn woke up sick, I decided she felt a bit warm and took her temperature, under the arm. Well McKinley grabbed the cover to the thermometer and was also trying to take a temperature. . .she was trying to take Izzy's rectal temperature while saying, "I'm a bet" Poor Izzy, good thing I noticed before she actually. . . . UNO !

The Vacuum Won't Work!

Kieryn asked to vacuum her room, well sure why not that is super, one less thing for me to do, maybe :) Even though the vacuum is bigger than her and probably weighs about as much as her.... I am sure she can use the hose part, she does love to clean so why not.....so she is vacuuming away in her room....the two girls are having a great time happily cleaning, McKinley next to her with her tiny play vacuum, then I hear, "MOOOOOOOM something is wrong with the vacuum, it won't vacuum stuff up.... I think it needs to be emptied...." So I go check, Kieryn is sure it is full....sure enough the vacuum is full... it will not work because she has vacuumed up a knitted scarf! I look in and she is looking too, I pull it out of the inside of the vacuum and she is completely baffled and said, "I did not see that!" :) too cute

Coon Highway

Braden comes in after putting his goats away for the night, looks at me excitedly and says, "I just found the coon highway." He comes back through a minute later headed back outside with a big hunting knife, my question is what is he planning to do with that knife??? Well he came back very excited....unfortunately he did not find a raccoon, although he did find a flip lighter :) doesn't work thank goodness, isn't that cool he asks me??? I smile and laugh, yes, very good find.....How do such simple finds bring such joy to this boy :)

Skinny Jeans

Skinny Jeans have invaded our household. Not sure how or why but they are all Braden can think about. Braden insisted on having Skinny Jeans for the start of 7th grade YIKES!!! My sweet boy who is as boy as it gets worried about fashion? What has come over him? This whole Skinny Jean ride has and will be extremely entertaining....the laughs will go on and on. A super skinny boy in skinny jeans is just too funny, Braden tried the jeans on as he laughed, as we all laughed, we actually could not stop laughing. We all agreed he looked silly, he is even laughing so hard he is almost in tears at how silly the Skinny Jeans look, especially with his shoes, but he says, "I know they look funny Mom, but I really do want them." He is laughing so hard that I figure he is kidding, well he was not, we actually bought the DREADED SKINNY JEANS and he LOVES them.

Then today....
McKinley has only just turned 3 and she is absolutely witty! She looks directly at Braden and says, "get out of my room in those girl pants, I don't like them."
She called it, how can a 3 year old so clearly get what all those Tweens and Teens and even some older people don't get, Skinny Jeans are not meant for everyone. Really they only should ever be worn by the few very blessed bodies of the long legged 6 ft. tall Super Model and NEVER BOYS Never Ever please, why boys.... really in the true skinny jean design did they ever stop and think of what the bodies of this world truly look like. Was it ever considered that the minds of all these trend followers for some reason think they must squeeze into the Skinny Jean. AND we have to sit back waiting shielding our eyes wondering when will the skinny jean be over.....
